In a while, looking at a few old words you wrote once,
some being those, which makes you wonder how you wrote it,
unless you got that ardour , that small drug you were addicted with, that small shelter, that old family. Makes you silent.
In a while, now writing a few words. And that exhilation to share it,ain't the same. And you think about the old time.
Makes you silent again.
~ Manisha.
One day when I get superpowers (ahem), I'd ask you to hold my hands and I would make you see what I see. Feel, How I feel. I would want to have you look at the world, the stars, the moon, the ocean, the way I see them. And in that maelstrom of visions I would get to see the world in your image. Experience this sanctum through your eyes. And then when I write, that would be my greatest work ever. Because It would have been written by all of us and none of us. But I don't have superpowers, so lets make this place, the sanctum in my dream.

Evening Light Is Failing
Time is standing still,
Finally still for me.
As I see the water fall silent,
My gentle wind is free.
Shattered glass of myriad memories,
Fall unto the green water.
And the river shines a red glow,
As the flickering shadows grow longer.
Its time for you to set, My Divine Light,
Long have you shined at heights.
Long have you warred the mighty rain clouds,
Against dark nights with dying lights.
For once the horizon is not black,
The oceans are quiet as a still morning calm.
The winds are retreating into the mountains white,
And no rain clouds threaten the winter lark.
When the last wave on ocean shores broke,
The sun died into the welcoming night.
The water was still as the winter snow,
As the light disappeared beyond their sights.
Sleep my Sun, sleep forever,
Rest your light for the morning after.
For you may yet rise again,
Like a phoenix burning in an orange light.
But then the morning never came,
And with it never came the sunlight.
This sunset was final it seems,
For the morning never met the horizon bright.
This will be my last poem I guess. I'm quitting.

Cheating Shadows...
Ive got aged jars with venom floating inside,
when i wished for clouds so silver lined,
and is it its insanity that beckons me,
or is it your ignorance that holds the key.
The tunnel ended in light, I ran as you came,
the house breaking down, in its mason's mains,
and as soon as I touched you and held you as mine,
you vanished yet lingered, like passing time.
Body spinning in circles, eyes searching for stones,
no rubble, no blood, finally a home,
every wish, every prayer finally come true,
and I'm stuck ouside, with a brand new, you.

The Dying Of The Light
Take me away, to a land of oceans,
Where the land is swallowed by the withering waves.
Where the water is swept by the buffeting wind,
And a red darkness envelops the sky.
Where the stars are dying in the dark night,
There shall the solar wind fall.
To bury the last strands of the final light,
The forest trees stand tall.
The clouds are the enemy,
Who have captured the evening light.
The hail of rain pierces the oceans black,
As it falls through the mourning night.
Destroying waves rise a mile high,
But still can't free the sun.
The bleak horizon darkens with tears,
Falling from the dying sun.
How can the moon now rise,
Without the sun's light?
What's beyond the clouds no one shall know,
For the sun has lost its final fight.

Flecks
I am an eraser-
I rub away your pain and sorrow.
Give you a little of me
Willingly...
my heart and soul
Soon all of me whole,
Till I'm not shiny and new,
I don't erase like I used to.
I'm still there ... as I am erased all the way,
away
So I've given you me-
Would erase it all away for you again.
But now who is to erase the sorrow?
the end of me has become?
I ask now-
What has become of us? And where are we now?

Oh you all know I can no longer write, I no longer write. It was good to read all of yours again. I do advise you finally see those comments I should have written a long time ago.
Please come back.
I'll let you know, I'm here. But maybe not for long?
Heylo all. I still love you.

Paper dreams
i knead my Sunday dreams
on blank sheets and kites
that you paint with blossoms
of purple, red
and white.
these walls i build
high as to hide the sun,
you touch time
and turn them to bridges
in a while.
through that door which
i never opened,
you send me a lullaby
will you sing it again
when am lost in
the sea of mirrors
without a name?
will you?
In a bubble I blend,
to the rhythm of the sun,
in shadows I die,
to be that rain
which could pass the borders
and bleed with
the earth
to regain those leaves
where you
wrote my name.
like those secrets your lip holds,
the grains of sands lie dead,
shall i hold them
as they slip?
to make them the roots
of a tree that will
always remain.
the pages have changed
to paper boats and planes,
just like those dreams
you hide in that valley with no wind,
shall i call them back,
counting every changing
shade of seasons
to hold your hand at the
break of dawn?
shall i?
Departure
Walking among woods
never did a shepherd
found his lost sheep
Everything breaks,
even a stone,
but the mountains
couldn't cry,
whispered the sky
to lend them some rain
as they counted clouds
touching and leaving away.
The hands that cupped
to hold a river
moved away,
and never were
the two grains seen,
one that slipped away
and the other
that tried to
built a shelter
in between
the walls of
two fingers,
two grains of sand
attached to
one branch
no one saw
when they met
became one
and left.

The lonely city candy affair
A pause in this loneliest city,
A dialog I add of footprints emerging
In chapter of turndown eternity.
Since I turn only to you undone,
In retiring light of the morning moon,
In stoic light of the evening sun.
It shadows my fairish glitter.
It blinds one if the sweetened white,
I’d shirk divorcing the mirror.
Shirk not envying the postman.
He pleases to please, ceases to cease.
For how your talk goes my pen.
The comfort I jilt of my shelter,
A bedpost and a seascape on the wall,
The universe for knocking later,
To become a mistletoe pendant.
On your oak where metaphors bloom.
My darling oxymoron, old friend.
On the bed cared-for when we lie,
Secretly open-eyed and close-hearted
In the compass of a needle eye,
Tickle not my fancy to flee often
To the slightest ice on the coldest lake!
Dilemma of half-lost, half-gotten.
Infant and redundant up the sky,
Down they blur to divide and conquer.
Sad! I can’t more than clouds cry.
Blurry streets I can’t but dread,
Where with each blink of my eye fades
The imprint of your silhouette.
-Fareed
