In the years gone by in silence
And the years yet to arrive
Cloaked in starkness of chaos
The mechanical movements
Of a rusted shade of the sun
For a few indoctrinated eyes
Frolicking in cosmic meadows
The threads woven by Norns
Sitting calmly, grinning slyly
Two souls gazing into vortex
Forged in fluidity of steel
Is better than a gold prison
Seeing spring approach on wings
In anticipation of one eternity
The orchestration of a pen's ire
Wrought in the subtlety of words
To be
One
To be
Omni
To be
The mediocrity of a mountain
Slowly eroded by drops of water
And the twitching hand of fate
Caught in the thread it wove
With a sense of utmost clarity
A scene in pulchritude unfolds
Paving way for iridescence
And the shards of flawed amber
Begetting a tint of kindness
Inevitably metamorphosing
In sight and form of divinity
To the pure, all is pure
The craven can't comprehend
Leaves plucked from trees
Spiralling into corruption while
A phoenix meanders high above

I'll decipher it with a dictionary when I get time. There is so many words cave man me dozn't ondershtand.

Truly masterful work is mirrored in this stanza, in a pleasant poem. Job well done.
Thank you Fareed and Sharad. :)
ReplyDeletewhat is norns?
ReplyDeleteI LOVED
ReplyDeleteThe first stanza. It just flowed so smoothly and so pertily I felt like just sitting down to recite it.
The rest was quite nice as well, longer then some of yours and that really gave a good full read. lovely. =D
Norn - Mythical personification of destiny. Imagine a fading highlander blonde granting you a love-token in exchange for a kiss.
ReplyDeleteShraddha, I agree with Fareed. Although the description of Norns is not clear in Norse mythology. In some texts, they are described as young blondes, while in others they are described as old hags. :x
ReplyDeleteRachel, thank you. It was quite long, I agree, but then it had to be long. I've written quite a bit, but I'm not getting the time to post it all. I will post it though.
